The biggest stir was certainly caused by the duel between Jan Hřebík, a classic journeyman, and Martin Sedlák. The favorite of the match was clear, even though Honza had a successful last match at the Warm-Up in Eden, when on 31.5. managed to defeat Englishman Lee Kellett in the fourth round by a heavy KO www.youtube.com.
But Kellett, with a record of 11-11-2 and at the age of 47, was definitely not unbeatable. He has wins against very weak boxers and out of 11 losses, he suffered 6 defeats before the limit.
Therefore, it was expected that Hřebík would not resist his opponent for too long. But in front of an almost home crowd, he was motivated to perform well, he managed to win the first round narrowly with all judges and kept Sedlák mostly at a distance and used his weight and height advantage. That is probably why Martin bet on more pressure and risk in the second round. But it didn't pay off for him ☹.
After 30 seconds in the second round, Hřebík caught Sedlák with a right hook. Although he remained standing, he was very shaken. At that moment, Hřebík jumped up and completely knocked out his opponent with a right and left hook to the chin. It took several minutes for Martin Sedlák to come to his senses again and was able to leave the ring with an escort. Criticism of the referee has been launched on the networks, saying that he should have ended the duel after the first right hook ... and I would like to comment on that.

Well, now a short brief reaction from the promoter:
- The fact that the referee tried to lift Sedlák after the knockdown, or rather twist him by the arm, was therefore complete and inexcusable nonsense.
- However, there is criticism that the referee should have ended the duel after the first right hook. But I would definitely not see that clearly and I am more inclined to the opinion that it should not have been ended! Standing up does not count in professional boxing! So the referee could at most have jumped between the boxers and ended the duel. But he had about half a second to make this decision, and especially in such a short moment he could not assess that Sedlák (probably) was out of touch with reality. Then criticism would again swarm that the duel was ended prematurely and unnecessarily and that perhaps they are rooting for the home boxers in Ústí ☹ If Sedlák's coach had been able to react in such a short time interval (which I don't think is realistic) and throw in the towel, it would have been different...
Unfortunately, the closest to the situation was Honza Hřebík, who probably logically did not hesitate, jumped in and landed two precise hooks on his opponent's chin, and unfortunately it was painted... - Now it's too late for any what ifs. I'm trying to watch it more so that we can avoid other similar situations. Fortunately, Martin Sedlák is fine and was able to comment on this situation with humor on social networks. I believe that the ČUBP will discuss this situation at its meeting, but what can be said about the referee??? Of course, the boxer must be left in a stabilized position. That's why there is a doctor and paramedics at the ring, who were present. But for me, the referee probably didn't make a mistake.
Among the other results, I would highlight the Bažo - Mohish duel, which Yaroslav Mohish won on points after 4 rounds, but it wasn't easy at all.
Furthermore, the rematch between David Kubala and Evžen Velký. Their first encounter did not find a winner, so the guys added 2 rounds and in the six-round battle, all 3 judges eventually won, but after a tough battle, the home Kubala won.
The spectators were definitely entertained by the six-round battle between the Polish Smiejkowski and our Bezouška. The boxers fought for 6 rounds, although they lacked fitness, they made up for it with incredible willpower. After six rounds, the Polish boxer won.
And in the exhibition match, after eight years, Fabiána Bytyqi's brother (now Fabiána Richter) – Sebastian appeared. In three rounds, he managed to deal with Jirka Bílek on points and it was a very competitive duel!
