THE RING LUCERNA on 18 April will feature title fights and a women’s derby
Prague, 2 April 2026 – THE RING LUCERNA boxing gala will take place
on 18 April 2026 from 6.00 pm in the Grand Hall at Lucerna in Prague. At yesterday’s press conference, the organisers unveiled the evening’s programme, which will feature two title fights, a women’s derby and several exciting bouts from the domestic scene.
The event is jointly organised by Patron Boxing and the Tohle je Box project, led by former world champion Lukáš Konečný. Spectators can look forward to a total of fifteen professional bouts and one amateur bout.
“There’ll be some good bouts and there could even be some surprise results. For me, the most important thing is always that there’s something worth watching and that the spectators enjoy themselves,” said Lukáš Konečný at the press conference.
For the Czech Republic title and the challenger’s spot
One of the highlights of the evening will be the bout for the Czech Republic championship title, featuring Pavel Albrecht from the Tohle je Box team against Josef Stráník.
“The chance to box for the title is always a huge motivation. This will be my fourth time at Lucerna; I know the atmosphere and I know what it entails,” said Pavel Albrecht.
The bout between Marek Šmejkal and Viktor Agateljan will also attract a great deal of attention, with the winner becoming the official challenger to Václav Pejsar.
Women’s derby and the eagerly anticipated Adenubi vs Kubala clash
Among the most-watched bouts of the evening will be the women’s bout between Lucie Pudilová and Kateřina Dvořáková, two boxers from the ‘Tohle je Box’ project.
“The statistics favour Lucie, but it could go the other way. It will also depend on how the girls cope with the atmosphere at Lucerna,” said Lukáš Konečný.
There is also great interest in the bout between popular fitness influencer and amateur boxer Immanuel Adenubi and up-and-coming professional boxer David Kubala, which is one of the most exciting match-ups on the entire card.
“I’m really looking forward to it. As soon as the opportunity came up, I didn’t hesitate,” said Immanuel Adenubi.
“I’ve been following him on Instagram for a long time, so this fight was impossible to turn down,” added David Kubala.
According to Lukáš Konečný, this will be a clash between two athletes with a professional attitude:
“They both have a professional sporting attitude. Now they’ll go head-to-head and it will be seen in the ring who’s the better fighter.”
Jaromíra Konečná will also be appearing at Lucerna
The evening will also feature an amateur bout involving Jaromíra Konečná, who will face Chiara Manno.
“I’m glad that Jarka will have another fight where she can gain experience. Her opponent is more experienced and older, but it’s precisely these kinds of challenges that help her progress,” said Lukáš Konečný.
A clash of promotional teams and a strong showing from Tohle je Box
The card will also feature a symbolic clash between the promoter teams, with Petr Strnad from Tohle je Box taking on Zdeněk Marel from Patron Boxing.
Other interesting bouts will include, for example, the clash between Vadym Khrushche and Dominik Prchal.
Representing the Tohle je Box project at the gala evening will be:
Jaromíra Konečná, Pavel Albrecht, David Kotrč, Narek Šachbazjan, Yevhen Drebit, Ivan Baláž, Petr Strnad, Lucie Pudilová and Kateřina Dvořáková.
